Eli and Daddy on the Moon

The other day we decided to take an adventure up to Salt Lake and have a picnic at Memory Grove, well along our adventure we decided to stop at the Clark Planetarium. Eli thought most of the stuff was pretty cool, but walking on the moon with his Daddy was by far his favorite part. He was so cute walking around like an astronaut, light as air.

Okay, Okay, so I have to explain this next picture. Now, I am all about creativity, uniqueness and expressing ones self in abstract ways, but this particular place..... well it was about the weirdest I have ever seen, even after reading the stories behind were everything came from. So this is all I can tell you. This place is called Gigel Gardens in Salt Lake. Go google it if you would like for some interesting reading, and go visit it, if you would like for an even more interesting outing. Keep an open mind. It wasn't really the right season to go, but we were up there, and Matt really wanted to go check it out. I do believe that we will probably go back when it is more the summer season and the garden is a bit more beautiful. So what you are looking at people, yes, it is a Spinx with the head of Joesph Smith. Just go read about it, it isn't what you are thinking. Well, it definitely wasn't what I was thinking.

Eli's new BIG BOY BED

As everyone knows now, we are expecting our newest little addition to the family the end of April. Eli is way excited to be getting a little brother soon. Well in order to make a little bit more room around here, we have gotten rid of Lara's queen bed and transitioned into a set of bunk beds for her and Eli. Eli has been on a toddler bed in our room for quite a while now, so this has definitely been a big transition. But he actually isn't doing to bad with it. We have about a week and the naps have been going pretty good. We haven't quite concord a night yet, but it will take time and I'm completely confident that this too is not to far away. He is growing up so fast. Lara has actually really loved the new bed. We were a little worried because she doesn't really do heights, not even little heights, and getting up and down for her was quite awkward at first, but she is an all time, bunk bed climbing pro, and she loves having her own little area up away from the world. Eli looks so small in these pictures. I suppose compared to his other bed he is quite small on there.

Can't wait for it to get just a little bit warmer!

So this was our first big adventure out to the park. Can I just tell you how ready I am for Spring. Not summer, because I really don't love it when it is super hot. But Spring, the nice cool breeze with the feel of the warm sun on your face, bring it on. Eli was so loving life. It has just been so cold lately, and this day was so beautiful and nice. But the even more depressing part of this, two days later we woke up to 6 inches of snow on the ground. I was not very happy, but well, I suppose we have had a ton of fun in the snow as well. So bring on the snow suit. Don't mind our drunken son at in the video. I actually thought he walked pretty well for getting so dizzy. The spinner thing was his favorite thing to do at the park.

Shooting at TWO!!!!

I have to warn you right up front, I did not condone this...... OKAY, who am I kidding, it was the cutest thing ever. We went out to watch the men shoot and Eli so badly wanted to shoot with his dad, but none of the guns they were shooting was even close to something that wouldn't have blown his arm off. Luckily his Uncle Gary had brought a little air soft gun to let his little boy shoot. Eli was living it up. He thought it was about the coolest thing in the world to shoot some pop bottles.

I just thought this was a pretty cute picture of Eli and his cousin Hailey watching the men shoot the REALLY REALLY LOUD guns.

Tractor with Grandpa

This last weekend we were in Delta and Eli got his first taste of being on a big tractor. He has been on the little riding lawn mower, but this was way better. Grandpa gave him his first ride and gotta say, he didn't love it, at least not at first. It took him some time to warm up to it. I don't know if it was cause it was to loud, or if he was not sure what was going on. He did eventually decide it wasn't to bad, but I don't know how fast he would be willing to jump back up on one.

Need I say More?

Just one of my new favorite pictures of Eli... Just thought I would share. I love this little boy so much. He makes every day all worth it. How could you not fall in love with that smile?

The Cave of Wonders....

Whoever knew that bunk beds could be used for so much more then just sleeping. Eli loves his new big boy bed, and he loves even more that dad has shown him how to turn it into a bat cave. There has already been many hours of pure imagination entertainment from these new beds. Gotta love it! So here are a few pictures of Eli loving his new bed.
